Online
This is both my domain for my venture website as well as the website I actually intend to use when I go through with the venture. My revolutionary method for determining availability was to buy the domain for $7.98 per year. Every other URL with rotacrutch (.org, .net, .tv, etc.) is still available however.
Social Media
LinkedIn presence is a core component of many startups in the modern era, facilitating contact with other companies, potential employees, and potential partners. Since there is no pre-existing business called RotaCrutch, it is up for grabs.
YouTube
This would function as the primary host for all the informational and how-to videos as well as customer testimony and any other video content that may be generated. This allows that to be hosted off site and made easily accessible to the public via a familiar platform. The channel name RotaCrutch is not currently in use, as found via YouTube's channel search tool.
Also key to online presence is Instagram. This serves as a near free type of advertising and is a great way to easily show off the company in a digestible way and share it with the public. How-to and informational content can be posted here, along with potential collaborations, company news, product launches, etc.
@RotaCrutch is available as of time of writing, as checked via both Instagram and the Account Archiver tool
TikTok
This functions similarly to the Instagram strategy, with informational and promotional content being hosted there along with the ability to build a following and be tagged to further marketing goals. I have never personally used TikTok so would have to learn how to do that. Likewise, the username @RotaCrutch is available at time of writing, as checked via Namechk Account Search.
Payment and Other Resources
For the actual sales, I intend to sell to hospitals and clinics as one customer pool, but also direct to consumer via the RotaCrutch website. This will be done using the Wix built in shop tool and then utilizing either PayPal or Square to manage payments. On the small scale this can be managed personally, with orders shipped out manually, customer service done myself via phone and email, and all other things managed by hand. This can then scale up to using a platform like Shopify or another dropshipping/fulfilment facilitator for the product logistics and customer service outsourced. Perhaps an AI support chatbot to filter out the easily solvable customer service issues. For personal and company email, I intend to do that through Wix's hosting partner.
